Dr. Shalomith Uppapalli

Dr Shalomith completed MBBS from JN Medical College, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, and went on to pursue DNB in Ophthalmology from Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati. She subsequently completed a long-term Fellowship in Cornea, and Surgical training in Phacoemulsification from HV Desai Eye Hospital, Pune.She is a Fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology, UK. Her stint at PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai helped further her experience in Cornea, Ocular Surface Disorders, and Cataract.She has vast experience in diagnosing and treating basic and advanced corneal conditions such as corneal infection, corneal scar, dry eye, pterygium, keratoconus, ocular trauma etc. Her research interests lie in cornea, ocular surface and Lasik. Her paper on “Unusual Case of Globe Perforation: The Brittle Cornea without Systemic Manifestations” adds an additional star to her profile.She can speak English, Hindi and Marathi.
