Dr. Roheit N. RakhundeCompleted M.B.B.S from the Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha, Maharashtra.After which came to Mumbai to pursue my post graduate studies. I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology from the Asian Heart Institute & Research Centre, considered as one of the best heart hospital in the city of Mumbai.I also have completed a certification course in the management of diabetes, as recognized by the International Diabetes Federation and Public Health Foundation, India.My career objective is to practice as a Clinical Cardiologist wherein I can utilize my previous work experience and education in order to provide high quality, passionate healthcare to patients in the field of Clinical Cardiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Sports Cardiology.I have a Fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation from the Medvarsity & Apollo Hospital Education and Research Foundation.I am a member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Indian Association of Clinical Cardiology (IACC), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the Indian Association of Cardiac Imaging (IACI).Having experience of heading the Cardiac Rehabilitation department at the Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre, Mumbai, wherein I also motivated and trained nearly 100 heart patients (post surgery) to participate and complete the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathons. I am also associated with Suburban Diagnostics, Mumbai, in the Cardiology Department for conducting cardiac diagnostics tests.I have successfully managed as the Medical team in-charge as well as the Medical Partner organizational in-charge not only for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2015 & 2016, but also for the Customs Navy Half Marathon 2016.My aim in my career going forward from now will be to educate people about the non communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, stroke, etc. as well as to work towards the prevention and more importantly the reversal of the above mentioned diseases which in turn will aid in reducing the disease burden in the nation.
