I have persued my post graduation and specialty training in UK. I am very excited to be back in India after 13 years. I am looking forward to work closely with the medical community here to improve the health care for the patients in India. I have successfully completed MBBS, MRCP (UK), and MD (Cardiovascular Medicine Research, Dundee, UK). I was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Cardiology from the prestigious University of Oxford, UK (first Indian to achieve this feat). I have obtained a Fellowship in cardiovascular research from UK and an Advance Interventional fellowship from Royal Bournemouth Hospital (UK). I am accredited by British Society of Cardiology to perform adult echocardiogram; and also an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor for Resuscitation Council of UK. Since returning back to India, I have worked as a Fulltime Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Girgaon, Mumbai. I have now set up my own clinic and have started visiting other hospitals (Saifee, Breach Candy, Jaslok and Cumballa Hill) as a visiting cardiologist. I have vast experience in both general and interventional cardiology. My Interventional Cardiology experience includes: • Coronary angiogram and Right heart catheter studies• Coronary Angioplasty: basic and complex including Left Main (LM); bifurcations (dedicated bifurcation stents); Chronic Total Occlusions (CTOs); vein graft angioplasties; primary angioplasties, rescue angioplasties• Coronary Rotablation• Coronary Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Coronary Fractional Flow Reserve measurement (FFR), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Optical Frequency Domain Imaging (OFDI) • Excimer laser coronary angioplasty (ELCA)• Using adjunctive devices such as fine cross catheter, corsair catheter, guideliners, CrossBoss and Stringray system etc. • Pacemaker implantation and AICD implantation. (Have implanted first leadless pacemaker in west India) The General Cardiology experience includes:• Transthoracic echocardiogram, Trans-esophageal echocardiogram, IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon Pump) insertion, Pericardiocentesis• Supervising and reporting Stress Tests, TTT (Tilt Table Test), Holter Tests and Cardioversions. I have extensively published in clinical and research fields in prestigious international journals. I am a Proctor for IVUS, FFR, OCT, and Rotablation. I have presented my work and chaired as an expert at various international meetings.
