I had failed treatment for TB of LS Spine for which I was consulting two top doctors in Pune, but after 1 year the infection doubled and I was told surgery is only option now!! All other specialist doctors in Pune echoed same/similar views (except Dr Nadkarni), and thus I took advice Dr Sajan Hegade (top spine surgeon in India, Apollo - Chennai) and he clearly said no need of surgery and only medicines will cure it! For good and quick followup I decided to visit KEM in Mumbai where a family friend Dr Krantikumar Rathod (radiologist at Bombay Hospital) recommended Dr Vishal Kundnani.

Dr Vishal also totally ruled out surgery and only asked a minimal biopsy to be done at priority. The biopsy was performed by Dr Zankaria and sample sent to Hinduja, which detected MDR TB (resistance developed due to prior failed medicines!)

Dr Vishal was very friendly, and provided genuinely helpful and correct advice during my 3 year long treatment by medicine alone. For medicine followup he advised me Dr Amita Nene who is another competent MD and he maintained close followup with minimal MRI scans. At Pune doctors had me unnecessary PET CT scan, frequent MRIs+XRays+Blood tests, but Dr Vishal and Dr Amita had only required tests todo and avoid unnecessary costs incurred!

I am cured after 2 years of treatment and followed up with additional 1year of medicine as a precaution to prevent relapse.

I heartily recommend Dr Vishal Kundnani and all other doctors (Dr Krantikumar Rathod, Dr Amita Nene and Dr Bhaven Zankaria) for their expert advise in Orthopaedics, Spine, Medicine, and Radiology.

Hello, I am from Kuwait and was suffering from back pain and leg pain and was diagnosed with Spondylolisthesis with nerve compression in spine due to spine slip of bone.

My experience is very bad. Before surgenry Dr was very friendly and giving good advice etc however when addmitted to hostpital dr not even visited once before surgery. Not sure what happened during surgery but post surgery my husband wa sin tremendous pain and dr said its physoclocial pain.

We believe in dr and such drs give case to his junior ( Dr. Abhijeet ) who asked my husband to climb stairs 8 hrs post surgery.. *** ****** **** *** ** **** **** **** ******

I wont recommend this dr to anybody as he has not taken good care of my husband. There was nobody even suggested Physio to him post surgery. Till date he is oin tremendous pain. At the age of 27, suffering from Slip Disc seemed daunting and was mentally shaking for me but Dr. Vishal Kundnani helped quell all fears related to Slip Disc and his continuous guidance was key factor in me overcoming that state. *** ****** ** *** **** ****** * **** **** *** ** ******** ********** I went there yesterday and the way Dr. Vishal spoke to my mom, my mom was verh happy when she came home. 50% of her pain went away with the way Dr. Vishal spoke. My mom needs a surgery but she was highly reluctant for the same and no body could ever convince her for her surgery which is very much needed. But Dr. Vishal could do it within 15mins by giving guarantee of her surgery. I highly recommend Dr Vishal as my experience was very good.

After seeing the papers and medical reports of my wife who was totally bed ridden for more than 6 months, he explained the situation completely to us and advised spine surgery. He was very confident that my wife's problem will be over and she will start walking. Being convinced we decided to go ahead with surgery.

My wife recently had two episodes of urosepsis. Knowing this he did the surgery without using catheter to minimise the risk of infection.

Third day of surgery my wife could start walking with support. Now within 45 days she is able to walk and climb stairs all without pain.

Visited him for my wrist problem after reading good reviews here.. his assistant took my detailed history but Dr Vishal himself spent only about 5 mins diagnosing me.. and very quickly explained what my problem is and recommended some medicines.. I asked a few questions but he was in too much of a hurry to be somewhere else and quickly answered them and rushed off (perhaps my case wasn't serious enough and he had more important patients to attend to). Overall I'm not very satisfied.. I paid a thousand rupees to see him, not his assistant.

I visited Dr. Vishal Kundnani's clinic in Malad for my cousin, whose MRI showed a disc bulge at L4-L5. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.

We paid ₹2000 for the consultation but did not receive proper attention or guidance. If you're looking for conservative or non-surgical treatment, this may not be the right place. Disappointing experience overall.
