Dr. Vinod A Chandiramani

Dr. Vinod Chandiramani is the Head of Department of General Surgery at P.D. Hinduja National hospital. After completing his post graduation in surgery from Bombay University, Dr. Chandiramani went to the United Kingdom for higher surgical training. He completed a General Surgery rotation through various disciplines of surgery in U.K. over a period of 7 years. He was appointed as a consultant surgeon at P.D.Hinduja National hospital over 16 years ago where he has been working continuously to date.Dr. Vinod Chandiramani heads the Department of General Surgery since 2001. His Department undertakes over 1500 operations per year. The Department of General surgery is also recognized for Post Graduate surgical training by National Board of Examinations and he supervises 6 Post Graduate surgery students. He takes keen interest in academic activities of his juniors and department. He has several publications on a regular basis in scientific journals in India and abroad.Dr. Vinod Chandiramani is an able and competent General Surgeon practicing a wide spectrum of surgery including Gastro Intestinal, Minimal Access, Hernia, breast, thyroid operations and conditions such as diabetic foot, peri anal problems such as piles, fissure etc. Dr. Chandiramani is also an efficient administrator of Department of General Surgery, which comprises of 16 Consultants and 17 Junior Medical staff. His Department has regular publications / presentations in National journal and conferences. He also chairs monthly surgical audit meetings
