Dr Vasudev Chowda is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Liver diseases Specialist and Therapeutic interventionalendoscopist at Fortis Hospital, Mulund. He has done his M.B.B.S from JIPMER following which he completed hisM.D in Internal Medicine from the prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi. He received his Doctorate of Medicine in the fieldof Gastroenterology and liver diseases from Sanjay Gandhi Post graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS,Lucknow). He has 13 years of Post graduate medical experience in the fields of Internal medicine andGastroenterology to his credit and specializes in performing all endoscopic procedures. He performs the followingendoscopic procedures: OGD scopy (Gastroscopy), Diagnostic Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Variceal ligation,Endoscopic Sclerotherapy, Endoscopic therapy of bleeding peptic ulcers, Argon plasma coagulation, Heater probecoagulation, Polypectomy, Foreign body removal of ingested coins, dentures, pins needles and others,Oesophageal stricture dilation, CRE balloon dilation of various strictures and webs in gastrointestinal tract,Metallic stenting for oesophageal cancers, Metallic stenting for Gastric outlet obstruction due to gastric cancers,Colonic stenting for malignancies(SEMS). He also performs advanced ERCP procedures like ESWL for pancreaticstones, bile duct strictures, Pancreatic duct strictures, Mirizzi Syndrome, plastic and metallic stenting of bileduct(SEMS).
