We admitted my father for toe amputation under Dr. Shrikant Bhoyar. When my mother and I went for an inquiry about the admission, charges and cashless facility, the hospital administration informed us that they don't have any charge sheet for the bed charges, nursing charges, doctor charges, etc. Admin tells us that the doctor decides the charges if it is a cashless process. Later, Mr. Vikas helped us with the exact charges(he is the only sensible person among the entire hospital staff.)
We then went to TPA, Miss Madhuri straight away gave us the form and asked us to fill-up the form so that she can send for approval.
Here, Dr. Shrikant Bhoyar had given us an estimate for 1.5-2.5L with 3 days hospitalization for toe amputation and peripheral angioplasty.
After getting my father admitted on 2nd January 2020 they had run a few tests like blood tests, BP check, diabetes check, 2D Echo, ECG. However, when the ECG report was Abnormal, the doctor never informed us that ECG is abnormal. Hospital staff kept telling us only BP is on the higher side rest everything is normal.
on 3rd January my father was taken to the cath lab for peripheral angioplasty, halfway between the angioplasty Dr. Shrikant Bhoyar came out and said they need to put 2 stents in the leg which would cost around 1-1.5L more than the estimated cost. Instead, only 1 drug-eluting stent (DES) was put and 2 balloon catheter was inserted. Later, my father was shifted to ICU to keep under observation for 24 hours.
Wherein the RMO Ifra of the ICU asked us to feed food to my father for the next 24 hours in the flat-lying position ******* **** ******** *** ** ** ** *******. Since he was lying in a flat position for 48 hours straight which led to indigestion, nausea, and acidity. RMO Ifra's behavior is pathetic *** *********** ******* *** *** *** ********* *** ** * ********** *** *********** **** ****** ** *** * ***** **** ******** *** ***** **********
By the evening we were informed that on 4th January a peripheral angiography will be conducted once again to check the stents and blood clots. We were not even explained what exactly Dr. Shrikant Bhoyar (Diabetic Foot Surgeon) and Dr. Abhijeet Soni (Interventional Radiologist) had done during the peripheral angioplasty.
The next day, after the peripheral angioplasty Dr. Abhijeet Soni informed us that the balloon catheter they had put got recalled and again a blood clot was formed in the left thigh. *** **** ***** ** *** ******** **** **** **** *** ***** *** *** ***** ** **** ** ****** ***** *********** *** ** ***** *** ** ******, 5th January he was supposed to conduct another peripheral angiography to check the blood clot otherwise he advised us to either put a stent or perform a by-pass surgery of the leg.*** *** ** ** **** ****** **** **** *** ***** ******** *** *** *** ***** *********** ******* ** *****
The entire day of the 4th January we were told that my father's reports are normal and ECG is normal as well. From 3rd January 8:00 PM to 4th January 7:30 PM my father was not given a single grain of food. Finally, at 7:30 PM RMO allowed us to give him an apple juice. At around 11:00 PM on 4th January he got two repeated cardiac arrests back to back.
We got an emergency call from the hospital at 11:12 PM before we rushed to the hospital, doctors had already put him on a Ventilator without our consent saying that his heart had stopped beating but they pumped and got his heart working again *** *** *** ***** *** ******* **** *** *** he was kept on an artificial breathing and had been given injections to push up the blood pressure level.
on 5th January, even though being on a ventilator ICU staff was trying to take an X-ray of my father. We asked them not to take x-ray since of course, ** ******* **** *** ***** ** ****** ** ***** **** *** ****** ** ****** *****
