A terrible experience
Since this site solicits feedback, I am leaving a detailed feedback our terrible experience with this dentist.
My mother who is 82 years old, was having a problem with her lower denture so we visited this dentist on 25th Sept 23. My mother decided to go to this dentist since this dentist had done my mother’s lower jaw implants approx. 11 years ago through another technician, my mother’s dentures however were done by another dentist at that same time around 11 years ago but my mother couldn’t trace her now.
This dentist examined my mother and remarked as to how good her dentures were even after 11 years and said that she would be able to take care of the issue and that it would cost us Rs 20,000/-, She had let me inside the treating chamber when she was examining my mother. She collected an advance of Rs 7,000/- from us on that day itself and said that she would send the denture to the lab and get the necessary item fitted onto the denture which would then sit comfortably on the implant. This dentist took about 10 days for this and called my mum back on the 5th of October for fitting the denture. The denture was snapped onto the implants and then to our surprise, would not come out inspite of this dentist hard to pry them out, this dentist then gave up and told us that the denture will get loose in a couple of days because of the activity of chewing and will then come out comfortably, so trusting this dentist (big mistake), we left the clinic. This dentist insisted that I pay the balance Rs 13,000/- on that day itself, I said I would pay once everything was sorted out with the denture and my mother was comfortable, however, this dentist insisted that I pay the balance that day itself, so I did, due to the trust factor (yes, I know… big mistake).
However, the very next morning, my mother’s lip began to swell and she was in quite some discomfort, we waited for another day thinking that the denture will loosen up and will come out, which is what this dentist had said. On morning of 7th October, the swelling had increased and so did my mother’s discomfort, I immediately sent this dentist a whatsapp msg with the pic of my mother’s lip, this dentist replied, asking me to give my mother an Enzoflam (painkiller) and to bring her to the clinic at noon the same day.
After a 2-hour struggle, this dentist had to finally cut the denture to unclasp it, I was asked to wait outside during this whole time and when this dentist sent my mother outside, I was not shown the denture but informed that the denture will be sent back to the lab for adjustments. My mother was called back on the 12th of October and this time there was another technician who fitted the fractured but repaired denture for my mother, and yes, this dentist charged us a further Rs 3,000/- for the same. I questioned this dentist as to how could the denture get stuck in this manner to which this dentist that it was technical and was related to my mother’s jawbone which had gone down thereby exposing the threads of the implants which is why the denture got stuck. * ******* ***** *** ***** * ******* ****** **** ***** **** ** ******* ********** ***** ** ****** *** ******** ** *** ***** *** ******. * *** **** **** ***** * ******** ********** ***** ** * ******** **** **** ** **** ******* ***** * ******* ** ***** ******* **** ******* ******* **** **** *** **** **** *** *** ** ******* *** ******* **** **** * ********. This dentist got a bit agitated and walked inside to the treating chamber, we then left the clinic as this dentist refused to answer my question.
My mother started using this repaired denture but was still finding difficulty chewing her food and informed this dentist after 2 days, this dentist said continue using it for a while and that my mother would get used to it. My mother did as she was told to by this dentist however, on Friday, 27th October 23, the denture broke into 2 pieces. My mother called this dentist that evening who said that since Saturday, 28th October is a busy day, my mother should come to the clinic on Monday, 30th October.
We went there on 31st October and this dentist took my mother in to examine her and sent her out saying that she will send the broken denture to the lab and get it fixed again. I asked this dentist to what guarantee was there that it would not break again and to which I got a response that there was no guarantee. I told this dentist that she has left my mother, an 82-year-old lady, in a worse -off state than when she had come to the clinic in September *** **** **** ******* **** * ***** ************** ** ******* * ************ ********* This dentist got agitated again and started saying that I wouldn’t understand (yes, that famous line) and stormed off into the treating chamber. I kept questioning this dentist from outside the chamber as to why my questions were not being answered and why was this dentist hiding in the chamber but this dentist did not answer my questions and only came out briefly, to give the broken denture back to my mother. *** ***** ****** **** ** ** ******** *** ** ****** ****** ******** *** * *****, we left the clinic with utter disgust and a feeling of being short-changed.

I can only hope that no other unsuspecting patient has to go through the ordeal which we went through this this so-called dentist.
I had an extremely bad nightmarish experience with the doctor. No bedside manners, extremely rude to her attendant and would want to give a negative feedback so that no patient is cheated. She has overcharged me. Precisely a two minute intervention done basically scaling and was charged 5000 rs for which no receipt was given. She sold me a strip of Augmentum which she had in her clinic . Are they permitted to sell. I am feeling cheated. When consultation mentioned is rs. 200- how was i charged a whoppibg 5000- rs. Thankyou.
