Dr. Prasad M Bhukebag

Dr. Prasad Bhukebag is a distinguished Senior Consultant Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal, Robotic, Bariatric, and General Surgeon, with over 17 years of experience. He obtained his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (Belgaum), followed by a Masters in General Surgery from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. He further pursued his Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) at Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, under the guidance of Prof PK Chowbey.Dr. Bhukebag has completed his MRCS (Edinburgh) and MRCPS (Glasgow) and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Law & Ethics (PGDMLE) from the prestigious National Law School of India University.He received specialized training in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery through Fellowships from E-Da Hospital (Kaohsiung, Taiwan), China Medical University Hospital (Taichung, Taiwan) under the supervision of Dr. CK Huang, and AZ Sint Jan Hospital (Brugge, Belgium) under Dr. Bruno Dillemans.In 2019, Dr. Bhukebag was conferred the prestigious Fellowship of American College of Surgeons (FACS) in recognition of his contributions to the field.Dr. Bhukebag has performed more than 5000 surgeries to date and has published multiple articles in international journals. He has also co-authored a chapter on Bariatric and Metabolic surgery in the textbook "Laparoscopic Surgery" published by Intech Open. He is a life member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and the Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS).Dr. Bhukebag's special interests lie in Robotic, Minimal Access, and Hernia/Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgery. Besides his professional accomplishments, he is also a Tech Enthusiast, Fitness Fanatic, and Marathon Runner.
