Dr. Pradyumna J Oak

My father was first treated by Dr. Oak in September 2023 when he was hospitalized for low sodium levels, SIAD, and dementia protocol. Doctor also treated my father in the ICU during my father's last few days in December 2023. Doctor and his team did everything possible and followed the best medical treatment protocol. Even after my father's demise, when we went to meet doctor to express our gratitude, he answered our questions patiently, with empathy, and reassured us. I'm very grateful to doctor and his team for everything they did for my father.

I am 87 years old and my name is KusumbenRoy, I had no history of blood pressure, diabetes and my visits to a general physician were extremely rare. It was Sep 29 evening when I was sitting with family members in the living room when I just could not get up from the chair and the GP was called who suggested immediate hospitalisation. I was rushed to Nanavati Hospital immediately and treatment was started under care of Dr. Pradyumna Oak. The first few days I was semi conscious but the timely and expert treatment by Dr. Oak and his team have seen me ride through the storm. Dr Oak is precise and to the point with a very dry sense of humour, hopefully I will start walking on my own in the next few months, a big thank you to Dr Oak and his team.

****** *** ** *** **** *********** * **** **** I am from Goa. But I love to visit in Nanavati hospital to consult doctor Oak. In Goa, the doctors ask for MRI every year to do when we visit. But doctor Oak asked only once to do it when we visited to him. That was in 2019. Doctor Oak says, every time MRI is not good for health n brain. As I personally also knows that it is not good. I really feel like telling each n every one to see doctor Oak as I'm 90% better than what I was in 2019. I still do visit more n will continue visiting.

My father was admitted with a clinically obvious case of vertigo. They performed an MRI to rule out stroke and an ECG to rule out heart attack. So far, acceptable. After that, this doctor requested a second MRI in under 12 hours **** ****** ***** **** ** ******** ***** *** ** ***** ********* *** *** *** ******* ********* *** ******************* * ** ****** **** **** ** *** ** ************ ****** ** ******** ******* *** *** ************* ** ********* ******* ******* ******* ***** ****** *** *********

In first appointment the doctor seemed ************* *** friendly. He wrote a sleep test. We went for the same. But, to contact him again is not easy. We had to visit twice to show the report. Waiting time both the times, after taking appointment at NANAVATI hospital was 2 hours as doctor was running late due to his other important commitments.

On taking a follow up charges(Rs 1200), the doctor asked after seeing the prescription that why have I visited him?

Firstly He Listened Everything From Us From Start To End

Than He Asked Us About What Is Happening During The seizure / Attack

Than He Explain Everything About The Problem In Detail And Advice What To Do What To Not

Than He Ask Again About Any Doubts We Have Or Anything To Ask Or Any Questions

Bottom Line No Making Patients Scar On Their illness and Not Giving To Much Medicine except what all is needed & Important, plus No Extra and unwanted test.

His Fees & Time Is Not Only Worth But A Total satisfaction

My Dad travelled all the way from Pune. We were given appointment at 12.20. We reached before 12.

We were informed Doctor is expected by 1 pm. At 1.30 we were told he should be coming by 2. Doc actually arrived at 3.15pm. May have a valid reason but could not see that courtesy. Also we went basis an impressive whattsapp video which said about an injection to treat Parkinson. We only got to know that its la temperory effect that lasts for 2 hours at a cost of Rs 5000/= each. Maybe we should have enquired the details in advance.

In short the overall experience was below not so impressive and a little frustating.

We always knew that Dr Oak is an excellent Doctor. But our interaction with him during the treatment period made us realize that he is A VERY GOOD HUMAN BEING, who besides treating the patient also understands the family and their hospitalization related issues.

We are extremely grateful to him for the treatment, care and support including post Procedure Care.
