Dr. Mukul Roy

Dr Mukul Roy is an exceptional Radiation Oncologist and a warm hearted person. I visited her for my Radiation therapy. She made me feel comfortable and explained to me very well about the procedure. I'm happy that I was under her care for my treatment.

I also would like to place on record my deepest sense of gratitude to all the Technicians and supporting staff in Radiation Dept. of Jaslok Hospital who took care of me during my treatment of radiation under Dr. Mukul Roy.

I was diagnosed case of cancer in prostate since 2016. I had undergone radical robotic prostatectomy in 2016 by Dr. Shailesh Raina of Jaslok Hospital. I developed this recurrence of cancer after five years in the local area of prosterior bed anterior to rectum. Dr. Raina referred my case to Dr. Mukul Roy, Radiation Oncologist in Jaslok Hospital for giving me radiation therapy to cure this nodular lesion in the rectal area.

Dr. Mukul Roy, Jaslok Hospital completed my radical radiotherapy and through 25 sittings of radiation, this cancerous nodular lesion in the rectal area got vanished and shrank. I am now free from severe pain which was giving me trouble before radiation.

Dr. Mukul Roy is very talented and very cooperative Oncologist in Jaslok Hospital. She takes care of even side effects of radiation, if any. Her staff in radiation department is also equally cooperative and caring staff. She prescribed medicines even during my radiation which helped me to keep my health fit. She advised me about my diet which helped me to keep myself fit. In radiation department all technicians and supporting staff were and are very cooperative and care taking staff.

Dr. Mukul Roy gave me all the answers of my queries and cleared my doubts during my radiation.

Doctor was very very comforting, friendly, considerate and to top it all helpful eg when we were unwell during radiation she adviced n sent a tech home to do our vivid test n when reports were positive for all she arranged for our hospitalization at jaslok for myself n my wife n her husband consulted online our daughter n advised treatment with home quarantine.

Even when we were in hospital she kept in touch with us n the treating doctor.Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Mukul Roy. So I met a few docs before zeroing in on Doc Mukul cuz she came across most warm, concerned and personable. See all good hospitals now have state of the art machines and does superior work. Your doc is the link to it. Radiation goes on for long, you need your doc to be there for you, for your concerns, available on the phone. And doc Roy is all that and more. With her you know you are in great hands. Having gone through the treatment now specially in covid times was added risk and concern, but it all went so smoothly. Thanks to her. They say that a doc should treat others as they want to be treated. I think she did just that. Thank you doc.

Dr. Mukul is very warm, friendly and approachable along with being excellent in her field. She recommended the most suitable and beneficial treatment methodology for my case. She explained us the entire process, do's and don'ts - including diet, clothing, basic hygiene, probable side effects and other minute parameters which play an important role during the treatment.

I was initially very nervous about the treatment but she ensured to clear all my doubts and misconceptions along with taking utmost care of me and was always responsive for any query that I had.

My father was under Dr. Mukul Roy for IGRT/IMRT treatment of prostate cancer. She was very warm and friendly and took the extra effort to make my dad very comfortable. On day 1 itself she proactively shared her contact details so that we were able to reach her directly at any point of time. She explained the treatment to us very well and set our expectations right in terms of the long and short term side effects. In my father's case, the treatment went extremely smoothly with almost negligible side effects. Even the staff at Jaslok was very cooperative. I strongly believe that if the patient is mentally relaxed, comfortable and positive half the battle is won and Dr. Mukul Roy plays a big role in that too. Thank you doc!

Our experience with Dr. Mukul Roy was really good. Since we had seen effects of chemotherapy we were very nervous before going for radiation. Dr. Mukul cleared most of our doubts and misunderstandings in the first session itself. The treatment went about really very smoothly with her guidance and time to time follow ups.

Dr Mukul Roy has been very helpful in my journey of radiations therapy post brain surgery and so i will definitely head towards recovery now. She explained the course of treatment very well when we met first. Regular follow-ups kept things monitored.
