Dr. Gursev Sandlas

Dr. Gursev Sandlas is a practicing pediatric urologist in Mumbai and is also working as a faculty at T.N. Medical College in South Mumbai in the capacity of assistant professor. Dr. Gursev completed his Mbbs from Grant Medical College & sir J.J. Group Of Hospitals and was at the top of his graduation class. Subsequently he did his M.S. In general surgery from L.T.M. Medical college and L.T.M. Municipal General Hospital popularly known as Sion Hospital in Mumbai. Sion Hospital runs one of the busiest trauma centers in Asia and it laid the foundation of a sound surgical training for Dr. Gursev. He followed it up by completing his M.Ch. In pediatric surgery also from Sion Hospital. Dr. Gursev is at the forefront of offering the best possible care for hypospadias patients. He is the first one in the world to devise a “Stentless Repair” for this common problem. This technique obviates the need for prolonged hospital stay for the patient and ensures a pain free postoperative recovery in the absence of a tube in the urethra.Dr. Gursev has more than two dozen presentations at national and international level and more than 20 publications in various national and international journals.He is actively involved in the training programme for future generation of pediatric surgeons through hi academic and research work at T.N. Medical college.
