He was awarded the Savitri Rao Award for the Orbit and Oculoplasty session at the AIOS 2011. His paper titled "Clinical Significance of AC/A ratio" was also selected as the Best Free Paper 24th All India Optometry Conference, in Hyderabad in 1991.
