Dr. Ashok Mehta

Dr. Ashok Mehta is a cancer surgeon (surgical oncologist) in Andheri West, Mumbai and has an experience of more than 52 years in this field. Dr. Ashok Mehta practises at the Brahma Kumaris' Global Hospital, Andheri West, Mumbai.He was trained in Surgical Oncology (Cancer Surgery) at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai between 1964-69 and travelled to the UK and USA in 1969-1970, then returned to join the Department of Surgery at the Tata Memorial Hospital in 1970, from where he retired in 1998 as Professor and Head, Department of Surgery, and Surgeon and Chief of Head & Neck Service. He established the Department of Oncology at Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai and was Head of the Department of Oncology from 1974, and Surgical Oncologist at the Lilavati & Jaslok Hospitals, Mumbai. He published a book on Diagnosis & Management of Cancer (2005, Jaypee Publishers) - first of its kind in India.Services provided include medical oncology and cancer surgery.
