Recently I had a boil in the inner lobe of the ear. visited my family doctor who treated for a week with no respite. so took an appointment with Dr Akhila Shetty at Powai Polyclinic. To me surprise after carefully understanding my case history she suggested a minor surgery. With her clear and friendly explanation I decided to go for the surgery. She performed the surgery with very comfortably and patiantly. in less than 20 minutes I was all dressed and ready. with her prescribed ointment within a week I was cured completely. To my surprise today there is no scar to remind me of the surgery. Thanks to Dr Akhila Shetty for the very comfortable surgery which could be scary to hear. The best part was during the conversation I mentioned about my Chronic Sinusitis suffering for decades and Steroids treatment off n on. she prescribed a non Steroid medicine which works like wonder and no side effects like body bloating etc. I very strongly recommend Dr Akhila Shetty for any and all ENT treatment. I visited Dr. Akhila Shetty at Powai Hospital after suffering from a blocked right ear for a couple of days. Before consulting her, I had already tried several home remedies like steam inhalation, warm compresses, Nasivion nasal drops, and Soliwax ear drops, but nothing provided much relief.

Dr. Shetty patiently listened to my symptoms, asked detailed questions about my history, including whether I had experienced similar issues before and if I had any itching in the ear. Based on the discussion, she suspected ear wax build-up and then performed a careful examination, which confirmed her diagnosis.

She explained the procedure clearly, ensured I was comfortable, and then gently removed the impacted wax. The entire procedure took only a few minutes, and the difference was incredible—I could hear clearly again after almost two days of discomfort. It genuinely felt magical.

Doctor Akhila first made sure to give all the remedies in order for me to recover quickly and also gave a thorough explanation of how to apply the treatment. Also Doctor Akhila was concerned about my health and took the time to write a certificate so I could take the required period of rest without getting any problem from my employee. Also Doctor Akhila took from her time to make sure the treatment was efficient by giving another appointment 2 days after in order to check my status. Therefore I really recommend Doctor Akhila.

Diagnosis was fine, but was charged totally unnecessary follow up charges. Was charged 500 for first visit which included diagnosis of wax in left and infection in right ear. For right ear was given prescription and for left was told to put ear drops for 5 days and come back for removal. To my surprise was charged rs 300 again as "follow up" charges which is unbelievable. Plus was asked for another rs 100 for cleaning but then Dr settled for rs 300 total instead of 400. Very expensive affair for simple treatment.

Dr Akhila gives more than sufficient time provide my heartiest gratitude foto diagnose root problem and confirms her diagnose with physical inspection and verbal questionnaire with due diligence.I was suffering with throat related problems from 2 months but she changed the course of medicine and that was magical.your dedication is admirable and Ir your personalized attention and care - thanks a lot.

The doctor is very friendly. Explains the root cause very clearly. I had gone for Ear wax removal. She did it so efficiently that I did not feel any pain. She did not even ask for follow up charges when I visited her second time for partial wax removal of the other ear,only the wax removal charges. Very happy with the experience. Highly recommend.
