Dr. Asmita Saha

Dr Asmita completed her MBBS from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences, and further pursued DNB in Ophthalmology from Vivekananda Polyclinic & Institute of Medical Sciences, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, Lucknow. She subsequently completed her Fellowship in Surgical Retina and Uvea from Priyambada Birla Aravind Eye Hospital, Kolkata where she performed several small incision cataract surgeries, retina surgeries, and a variety of laser procedures. She proceeded to pursue a Senior Fellowship at BYL Nair Hospital and Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai.She gained a rich experience through her stint at Disha Eye Hospitals, Barrackpore. She is an expert in cataract surgery and is experienced in dealing with many kinds of issues related to the eye – Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, Squint, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Retina, Oculoplasty, Uvea & inflammatory diseases, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Eye Trauma & Emergency Eye-Care.Noteworthy among her academic achievements is that her paper titled “Role of Enhanced Depth Imaging in Central Serous Chorioretinopathy” was presented by her at various national meetings and helped her bag the prestigious Dr Ranjan Ray Young Ophthalmologist Award 2017.She can speak English, Hindi and Bengali.
