Today at 9 months post delivery I am penning down my breast-feeding experience which was strengthened by Dr Nirali Shah’s advice and support. It all started a few hours post the delivery when my son had successfully latched. He did his part and then the onus was on me to take this bond forward and for long. It was far easier to give up and go for an alternative, but one of the factors that kept me going was the insights shared by Dr Nirali whom I consulted soon after my discharge. I can’t thank her enough for this.

It took some time to get used to breastfeeding, many a times, I was frustrated, annoyed, exhausted and what not but the motherhood feeling that it gave was just incomparable. After few hiccups, soon things started settling down and “tangible” benefits started showing up 😊

My son was exclusive on bf till 6months and the bond still continues till date.

It ticked mark all the basic factors – Time, effort and money!

Economical and environment friendly- no formula, no bottle, no sterilization. It kept me mobile – milk supply was available anytime and anywhere as long as I and my son were together 😊 I had all the time just to focus on him and his milestones. I made 6 travel trips between 2.5 months to 6 months, stayed with relatives and in hotels, without any hassle. Touchwood – no frequent rounds to the doctor except for vaccinations. And overall a satisfaction that my child was getting the best.

I would highly recommend Dr Nirali to every expecting mother and new mothers. She had a holistic approach for motivating new mother towards breast feeding – what to expect, when to expect, dietary habits etc., and she is quite approachable for any query that you may have.

I was having issue with the latching. It was very much painful

to latch from the right hand side and I was not sure if baby is able to take enough feed. Breast feeding was so much stressful for me. I approached doctor Nirali for this and we had a video consultation. In 10 minutes consultation she corrected the posture, she suggested feeding pillow and how to hold the baby correctly. This has altered my breast feeding experience completely. I have been feeding from last 8.5 months and it’s been a bliss. Many thanks doctor Nirali for your advices.

Dr. Nirali is very approachable and gives valuable insights and solutions not only for lactation but also for other baby related queries. She is very prompt in her replies and also shares a lot of resources for reading so that we understand the situation better. She is my go to person in case I have any query regarding the baby as I am a first time Mom.

She has been associated with me since the time my baby was born and is still continuing her online support.

In today's time when you are surrounded by so many opinions and myths by elders about raising the baby, Dr. Nirali gives scientific explanations to all issues which makes it easier for the mother to take her decisions than being bogged down by all suggestions by people around her.

I met Dr.Nirali at a time when I had lost hope about breastfeeding. I was detected Covid positive and had undergone an emergency C-section due to which my baby was kept away from me in the hospital and I couldn't start feeding directly. I used to pump and send milk for the baby but it was hardly anything! I was in a lot of pain as the nurses and helpers would help me pump in whatever techniques they knew!

When I came home and was allowed to feed my baby with masks and gloves on, I tried feeding my baby but because of lack of practice, my baby couldn't latch!

I contacted Dr.Nirali and she helped me latch correctly. Then onwards I've been breastfeeding happily and now my baby has transitioned to solids too and is a healthy 7.5 month old baby.
