I always listen politely to patients but if patient is preoccupied with diagnosis by reading on internet, it irritates any doctor. I am doctor n I need to assume things to arrive at diagnosis sometimes. For your information pcod is the commonest cause of acne in adult female n unless common causes r ruled out we don't go for rare investigations. I prefer very specific investigations. If your report is normal that's good thing n there nothing gto get mental trauma if doctor advise you investigations. As per of sonography-its not decided by me. I never asked to do it at any particular place. If your sonography is normal then you should have come back n shown me the report n we could have investigated further for other reasons of acne. At least one should try medicines given by doctor before putting negative feedback on social platform as it takes years of hard work for doctor to get reputation.
