Visited Dr. Sujana Bellamkonda (Physiotherapist) For Frozen shoulder Physiotherapy
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
I had right shoulder anterior dislocation in Nov 2022, Orthopedic has advised for non-surgical treatment and immobilized in a sling for 5 weeks . My range of motion in Jan was about 20 degrees, which terrified me, if I will ever be normal, as I could barely raise my hand to attend any basic needs. Hence, I have approached “Active Life” Physiotherapy, Dr.Kiran and Dr.Sujana did the initial diagnosis and assigned me to Dr.Sujana.
Dr.Sujana took a detail description of my injury and enlightened me on the treatment protocol and had started the session from Day 1. She advised me to exercise twice or thrice a day for a better and speedy recovery. Due to my work constraints and other commitments, I barely did my exercise once in a day for about 3 hours.
Initially as my ligaments were very weak or torn, Dr.Sujana suggested to begin exercises in supine position, with distressed pain through exercise, I gradually lost hope, but on the 20th Day of session was so satisfactory, to see the range of moment increased from 20 to 90 degree while standing in just 3 weeks. That demonstrates Dr.Sujana is extremely commendable on her work which is quite visible in her treatment through various exercises, glides, techniques (Scapular Glide, posterior and Interior Glide, External rotations, Abduction, various mobilizations…) that she recommends or applied. She sheds light on the technique applied, which provides sense of comfort and reliability.
Her demeanor, positive attitude motivated me, which indeed increased my tolerance level and hope gradually. Dr.Sujana personally gave a call to check on my condition daily, This revealed her personal touch with her clients, which I haven’t seen it with any other doctors ever.
she even gave a call if she is pre-occupied or off to work which discloses her responsibility towards work, value for client’s time and her organized behavior, which earned more trust on her.
Her major references demonstrated dynamic strengthening exercises as Dr.Sujana believes that firming up / stabilizing the muscle will avoid recurrence dislocations in long run.
Dr Sujana took feedback regularly on applied exercises to measures the results, and add or improvised, when necessary, after my acceptance or comfort, which reminds me that she is very attentive and committed to show the improvement in my case.
Evading tormenting pain through regular recommended exercises and insight on the treatment, after 8 weeks of pain management now I have experienced the magic of her techniques through improved proprioception.
Now I can experience the recovery while attending my regular activities (easily riding my bike, combing hair was the toughest activity for all these weeks – where I have decided, once I am able to comb my hair that would resemble my full recovery) this created faith in physiotherapy and also able to absorb their terminology with these extended sessions😊😊.
Special Thanks to Dr.Kiran and Activelife.

I had injured my wrist in October 2021. Initially, I neglected it, thinking it would get better with time. However, even after a month, it hadn't recovered. This worried me, so I started consulting an orthopedician who diagnosed it as a TFCC tear and suggested physiotherapy.
I began my treatment with physiotherapy in my hometown, but it didn't help at all. Later, after moving to Hyderabad, I consulted another reputable orthopedician. By that time, the injury was almost 10 months old. They explained that it would have healed if I had worn a cast in the early stages. Since it was an old injury, scar tissues had already formed, making it difficult to treat. They recommended PRP therapy along with wrist immobilization for four weeks and assured me that it would be beneficial. At this point, I had started losing hope as my injury hadn't healed in 10 months, but I decided to proceed with the suggested treatment.
After four weeks, the cast was removed, but it took an additional two weeks to regain mobility in my hand. The procedure reduced my pain, but I still lacked strength in my hand. My grip strength was very low, and activities like riding a bike caused discomfort. The physiotherapist suggested a few exercises to do at home, which initially helped, but after some time, there was no further improvement.
I was able to perform my daily activities, but riding a bike for an extended period or putting strain on my wrist still caused pain. I read numerous articles about this injury, where people mentioned being left with a weak hand for a lifetime.
Having nearly lost hope, I decided to give physiotherapy one last try.
Fortunately, I came across Activelife Physiotherapy Center. Dr. Kiran listened to my entire story and assured me that I would recover. Dr. Sarath then diagnosed the strength of my wrist and the extent of the injury. He provided detailed explanations about the injury and assured me that I would regain the ability to load my wrist and even return to the gym within three months.
We started slowly by gradually increasing the load on my wrist and allowing it to adjust. Dr. Sarath closely monitored each session, ensuring that I didn't overstress my wrist. With each session, he modified the exercises, progressively increasing the load.
Within a week, I began noticing improvements. I started to regain hope that I could return to my normal self.
It has now been four months, and I am proud to say that I have fully regained my strength. It feels like a miracle to me, and I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Sarath and Activelife Physiotherapy. They are true professionals **** ********* ********* in their field, and they deliver on their promises.
Visiting Activelife Physiotherapy has been one of the best decisions of my life, and I will be forever grateful to them.
I highly recommend everyone with any orthopedic problem to visit this clinic. I guarantee they will be able to help you and provide the **** possible treatment.
Special thanks to Dr. Kiran for running this wonderful institute.
Visited Dr. Sujana Bellamkonda (Physiotherapist)
This is a long pending review. I relocated to Hyderabad at the end of September 2022 with a stabbing pain around my lower back, and the pain was concentrated mostly on the right side. The pain was so severe that I was not able to do forward bend or take steps, but I kept ignoring it and fed myself some painkillers, hoping that it would be all better. It did not get any better, and I started searching Practo for a physiotherapy center, and I came across Activelife. I booked myself a consultation with Dr. Kiran in mid-October 2022. Dr. Kiran did the initial diagnosis, and Dr. Sujana took it from there. From the very first day, Sujana was extremely patient with my never-ending questions and gave me an overview of how this stabbing pain would be dealt with in each session. This was my first time to a physiotherapy, and I was scared that I probably had an affected bone or something, but she assured that it was only a stiff muscle that was causing the stabbing pain. She started the sessions, and initially, the focus was just to reduce the pain as much before ultrasound or electrotherapy. I remember reporting a pain on the severity scale of 9 out 10 when I started the session. I booked a 15-day continuous therapy, and in about a week and a half, the stabbing pain started to go down. Each session used to start with Dr. Sujana checking on me and asking me about the severity of the pain. She was genuinely concerned, and she did everything to give me relief. Each session used to be for 1.5 to 2 hours, and I never saw her rushing. She was patient and understanding, and she kept me going. There were times when I was impatient due to the pace of treatment, but she kept telling me that physiotherapy is slow but effective, and in the end, I would definitely benefit. After the 15-day session had ended, I continued for 5 more days, although Dr. Sujana said it was not needed. I was so surprised with my slow but steady progress. When the 20-day therapy session ended, my stabbing pain, stiffness and diclscomfort were down to the scale to 1.5-2. The therapy included ultrasound, electrotherapy, and traction with hip joint mobility exercises. Dr. Sujana mentioned that I could choose to come back to the center once a week just for the traction. otherwise, I could continue to exercise, and things would be back to normal. I went back there a couple of times just to get the traction. 3 months from when I started, I was back to normal. I highly recommend this center and especially Dr. Sujana. All the other members in this center were so friendly. May be that is the reason why a 2 hour session does not feel like a therapy, and it feels homely. Nobody would ask you to vacate the bed or rush you to complete your exercises. They allow you to complete your exercises at your own pace. I am grateful to Dr. Sujana for being there throughout and helping me come out of my suffering.

I have approached ActiveLife with severe cervical spine issues [3 disks bulge and one of them narrowing nerve connected to left hand]. One of Neurosurgeon whom I approached earlier, have suggested for a minor surgery to my cervical spine, which was scary situation to me.
Dr. Srujana have taken up my case and have explained in detail / pinpointing the problem areas as well as algorithmic approach to overcome.
Dr. Srujana is very knowledgeable and highly skilled at work where she is easily identifying issues and owing the entire protocol / prescribe the best physical therapy treatment for your needs and abilities.
She explains the value of each step in therapy in detail and how it helps me to overcome the current issue. Out of all approaches, "Dry Needling" and "Laser" therapies have helped me to reduce my pain severity and Dr. Srujana is absolutely meritorious on these therapies.
While treating patients, I have observed that Dr. Srujana is very responsive, ethical, easy to communicate, handling patients with lot of caring, and highly collaborative while showcasing commendable deep expertise on Physiotherapy.
As promised by Dr. Kiran and Dr. Srujana, my pain severity has been reduced in my 2 weeks long therapy.
It is very important for patients to strictly follow doctor's advice. As Dr. Srujana suggested, I'm continuing therapy with "alternate days" frequency to get myself free from pains.
I strongly recommend Dr. Srujana and ActiveLife Physiotherapy And Rehabilitation Centre, KPHB Colony.
