If a worm problem has not subsided after taking albendazole, there could be several reasons for this:Incorrect
Diagnosis: The issue might not have been caused by the type of worms that albendazole targets. Different worms require different treatments, so it's possible that a different medication might be needed.
Resistance: Like many medications, parasites can develop resistance to albendazole over time. If the parasites are resistant to the medication, it may not be effective in treating the infection.
Inadequate Dosage or Duration: It's important to take the medication as prescribed by a healthcare professional. If the dosage was insufficient or the treatment duration was too short, the infection might not have been fully cleared.
Reinfection: If the source of the infection is not addressed (such as contaminated food, water, or poor hygiene practices), you could become reinfected even after treatment.
Underlying Health Conditions: Some health conditions can weaken the immune system and make it harder for the body to fight off infections, including worm infections.
Mixed Infections: Sometimes, multiple types of parasites might be causing the issue, and albendazole might not be effective against all of them.
According to your sign and symptom you are suffering from worm infestation.
