The Golden rule is do not disturb the wisdom tooth until it disturbs you. Now since you are in pain it is advisable to extract the wisdom tooth under antibiotic cover. To reduce the metallic taste and smell try using a mouth rinse made of warm water mixed with pinch of salt and turmeric regularly to give relief.

This looks like the wisdom tooth in the lower jaw on the right side. From the looks of it, i feel it is better to get it removed to avoid future issues. This tooth might also affect the tooth in front of it in the long run. Removal of the wisdom tooth will not affect the other teeth, so you need not worry in this regard.
