Treatments with 3rd molar are usually less successful. Success depends on tooth position. Visit dentist for clinical examination and x ray.

It is not always necessary to get your wisdom tooth extracted. If your 3rd molar is healthy and properly present in the mouth then there is no problem . Would have to see your x-ray to decide and check the position of the 3rd molar and only then can tell whether to go for a root canal or extraction.
Next Steps
kindly get an opg x-ray  done and consult for the same so the right option can be suggested.

I will advise you to take another opinion. Clinical examination and iopa( X-ray) is needed to make a diagnosis and treatment plan.
