Wisdom teeth extraction post op
Hi Dr, I had my lower wisdom teeth extracted 20days ago, stitch was removed a week ago. However 2days back while looking inside I saw a kind of small hole near the wisdom teeth area. I am doing salt water rinses and have no pain as of now. I am scared about the hole. Please advise as sometimes food stucks there. The holes are visible a few days after stitch removal.

There’s nothing to worry about. It is normal after an extraction. The healing is ongoing. You just need to keep the area clean. Keep doing warm saline rinses (3-4 times a day). There should be no food lodgement, so rinse after eating anything.
Next Steps
Keep doing rinses, the gum will cover it soon.

Hi nothing to worry. That hole is probably a healing socket which will take quite some time to get completely closed. You just take care that no food stuff get logged in that hole since it will delay your healing and may cause secondary  infection. Keep doing warm water gargle for at least 5 times a day.

It could be a healing wound which is basically the space where your tooth was originally. Does not sound like something to worry about however Please consult your local dentist to further evaluate and treat the problem

Don't get worried about it. Its a very common thing after wisdom tooth extraction, since the socket and bone takes time to heal. But you should keep this in mind NOT TO stretch your mouth and look at the site often, this won't let the wound to cover up fast. And clean that area after every time to have food.
Next Steps
get a 10ml syringe and use that to wash the  area frequently.

Hi , That’s normal after wisdom tooth extraction as the socket takes some time to fill up entirely. No need to worry. Jus make sure you keep the area clean. You can buy a 10 ml syringe at home and clean it twice daily( bend the needle), can use normal mineral water .
