Hi, you have described symptoms of depression. Please consult a psychologist first. He/she will assess the severity of your symptoms. If very severe, you will be referred to a psychiatrist for medication followed by counselling. If not your depression can be addressed using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) by the psychologist.

Hi,
The loss of interest have been a gradually process to which certain psychological process / issues have played a part. If you go for psychologist the underline causes of it would get resolved.
Psychiatrist gives you medicines if there's a chemical imbalance in the brain & psychologist gives you consecutive counseling sessions which is slow but long term effective treatment.
Hi, Consult a psychologist for psychological assessment and counseling sessions. If you have suicidal thoughts you need to consult a psychiatrist.Consult a physician to rule out any medical conditions like hormonal imbalances, vitamin deficiency etc
Kindly connect with a psychologist. Loss of interest, pervasive feeling of hopelessness, helplessness are signs towards a condition which can be significantly improved with the help of therapy.
In case there is a requirement of medication, your psychologist will be able to refer to a psychiatrist.
Hi
You may consult any of them first. Psychologist or psychiatrist.
Both of them would follow the similar procedure to check the severity of your depressive symptoms.
It could range from mild to severe.
If the level of severity is borderline or mild. Then going only for psychotherapy can work too.
If it's moderate to serve - then you might need medications.

Hi... You should consult a Psychologist first. Even if you visit a Psychiatrist, s/he will refer you to a Psychologist. Medications are never the first response in issues created out of psychosocial factors. They are used when it is absolutely necessary, especially when a threat to life is perceived. In cases where the condition is such that Counselling alone would not be able to do anything, like in a case of psychotic illnes for example, medications are used to correct the neurochemical imbalance caused by an illness/condition. Even in such cases, the treatment of issues created out psychosocial factors are addressed through Counselling/Psychotherapy. The treatment is based on the cause and severity of symptoms and it is not a measure of severity of an illness.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist.
CBT along with Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
