Psychologist or Psychiatrist?
I have a certain issues for which I feel I should see a counselor but I am not quite sure if I should see a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist for talking and advise about some personal issues and for potential symptoms for OCD.

You can start with anyone. There are no medicine for your queries and adjustment problem. If you have well founded psychopathology then you need both. Psychiatrist helps you through medicines. Whereas psychologist offers you psychological treatment by listening, employing certain behaviour modification techniques. He helps you to understand your emotions and thought processes.

Greetings, human! Thank you for sharing. We applaud your decision to seek professional help. To clarify your doubt, both psychologists and psychiatrists would be able to deal with potential symptoms of OCD. However, their methods would be different. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor. They treat mental disorders and illnesses by prescribing medications to their patients. A psychologist on the other hand uses different forms of therapies to treat clients. Moreover, psychiatrists deal exclusively with treating disorders. Psychologists have a more holistic approach and provide support. They would also deal with behavioral, emotional and developmental issues (if any). Your decision comes down to how you want to treat your condition.
Next Steps
I would recommend you see a clinical psychologist for an official diagnosis and determine the severity of your issues. Then decide whether or not you need a psychiatrist.

You can consult a psychological Counselor to get a clarity and to understand yourself and about the issue you are facing.. Maybe, if required, the psychologist themselves, will recommend you whether you need any medical intervention from a psychiatrist..

It depends on how u  want to seek help for  your feelings. A psychologist could give you an understanding regarding your issues and core problems,a psychiatrist might help you with a prescribed medication for the same. You can take advice  from either of the two professionals. They will help u best to their abilities.
