**Specialist Gastroenterologist’s Opinion:**  **To the Patient:**  After completing your *H. pylori* antibiotic treatment, probiotics can help restore your gut microbiome and reduce antibiotic-related side effects like diarrhea or bloating. Here’s what I recommend:  Probiotic Guidance: 1. Strain-Specific Choices:    - Saccharomyces boulardii** (e.g., Sporalac*): Proven to support gut recovery post-antibiotics.     - Lactobacillus & Bifidobacterium blends** (e.g., *VSL#3, Culturelle*): Replenish beneficial bacteria.  2. Duration:** Take probiotics for **2–4 weeks** after antibiotics.  3. Dietary Support:**     - Include yogurt, kefir, or fermented foods (e.g., kimchi).     - Avoid irritants (spicy foods, caffeine, alcohol) as advised.  Important Notes: - Timing:** Start probiotics **after** finishing antibiotics to avoid interference.  - Consultation Needed:** *H. pylori* treatment success should be confirmed via a follow-up test (e.g., stool antigen or breath test).  For Personalized Advice: Schedule a consultation to tailor probiotics to your needs and monitor recovery.  **My WhatsApp:** Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two (for direct support).
