My daughter is 18 years old and she stays in hostel and hence does not get enough protein intake daily as they do not provide eggs, milk, or non-veg in their menu.
I wanted to know if it is safe to give her whey protein powder; if yes , then what is the quantity that she needs to take every day, which brand, and also can she eat the powder directly as there is no supply of milk in the hostel. Also , what are other sources of protein which is easily available that she can take since she stays in hostel.

Because your daughter cannot access eggs, milk, or non-vegetarian foods at the hostel, whey protein powder can be an excellent supplement to meet her protein requirements. She can consume approximately ½ to 1 scoop of whey protein per day, depending on her level of activity. Choose a reputed brand such as Optimum Nutrition or Muscle Blaze. If she does not have milk, she can combine the powder with water. Sattu, tofu, lentils, beans, peanut butter, and nuts are some more conveniently accessible protein sources in the hostel. Encourage her to eat more protein-rich snacks, such as roasted chana, protein bars, and nuts. With these options, she can still achieve her protein requirements while staying in a hostel.

Hi
Good afternoon!
I understand your concern and it’s great that you are enquiring about alternative protein sources.
Is it possible to get UHT small tetra pack of milk and store it. Do they have provision to boil milk/egg?
• Nuts (Almonds, Peanuts, etc.): 1 small handful (about 28 grams or 1 ounce)
• Roasted Seeds (Flaxseeds, Sunflower Seeds, etc.): 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 grams)
• Makhana (Fox Nuts): 1 cup (about 30 grams)
• Roasted Chana (Chickpeas):1/4 cup (about 25 grams)
These portions provide a good balance of protein and healthy fats while keeping the calorie intake moderate.
As far as whey protein goes, there are many brands that contain heavy metals in them so choose a quality tested one. See if it suits your daughter.
You can consult privately to discuss everything. Check out my YouTube channel as I have posted a video there.
Requirement is based on multiple things so do not give or consume it without a proper consultation.
Healthy morning
Whey protein can be a beneficial supplements for young women, including those around 18 years of age , but it is important to consider individuals needs and health conditions before using it
Since living in hostel might limit cooking options or access to protein-rich food, whey protein could be convenient way to ensure she’s getting enough protein. It can be mixed with water or milk for an easy , portable meal / snack.
Yes she can take it
But before deciding anu dosage
Get her complete blood profile done
And we can also give him plant protein from brand like oziva too.
Please get her blood test done than discuss over consultation
