When should I try getting pregnant?
Hello, I am 32 years old and my current weight is 78.5 kg at 157 cm. It started at 83.85 kg in mid feb. I have been trying to lose fat but at a sustainable rate. Now my husband and I want to start a family soon. But because of my weight i am worried. What should I do? At what weight can I get pregnant without it being a problem for me and the baby? I know reaching the ideal bmi would take quite some time. And I don't want to delay it as I am not getting any younger. Also, pregnancy won't happen immediately upon trying. So if I wait to get into my ideal weight range and then if it takes another 10-12 months, it'll be really late. I am feeling stressed because of this. Please help.

Your weight is not that high to be a detriment to pregnancy. Actively working to reduce weight also enables in conceiving. In view of your age however I will advise both you and your husband to get a complete infertility workup to rule out any factor which may preclude getting pregnant naturally and treat that as well.

Your age is also increasing. 32 years is a good enough age for the first pregnancy. Please plan your pregnancy. Your exercise or diet schedule can continue simultaneously.

Weight reduction is a good step towards a healthy lifestyle but you need not wait for your weight to reduce to a certain point. You should start taking folic acid everyday and try naturally for 1year. Connect to talk in detail

Weight loss is a journey not a destination When you plan pregnancy you will not conceive in the same month necessarily So at age 32 weight loss and planning pregnancy have to go hand in hand You should start now all the best
