For a 39-year-old female with diabetes, it is safe to use buffalo milk only after removing excess cream because buffalo milk is naturally high in fat. To make low-fat milk at home, boil the milk and then cool it completely. Please keep it in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours and remove the thick cream layer that forms on top. Repeat this for every batch to gradually reduce fat content. You can also dilute one cup of buffalo milk with half a cup of clean boiled water before drinking. For diabetes, limit milk quantity to one cup twice a day and avoid adding sugar or health drink powders. Choose early morning and evening for milk intake rather than at bedtime. Pair it with protein or fiber-rich snacks like roasted chana or nuts to prevent sugar spikes. For a full diabetic diet plan, book a consult with me (Dr. Pankaj Kumar) on Practo.
