Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine.
Consult me personally for details.
You have to understand that weight gain is not due inactive lifestyle or just over eating. It is because of hormonal imbalance coupled with eating wrong foods. The best way of losing excess weight is bringing down inflammation in the body by eating the right foods, which is taught in HAIP DIET based on the anti-inflammatory principles of Ayurveda. Inability to skip meals is simply because of choice of wrongs foods . Loosing the weight becomes effortless with HAIP DIET. If you want a guided consultation will make it easier to follow the protocol, this consultation will be vaild for a month. Herbs will just help in supporting the detox pathways and cannot be the sole weapon in losing weight. They have to be coupled with proper anti inflammatory foods.

Hello, let's understand the Root Cause.
In hypothyroidism, Agni (digestive fire) is usually manda (sluggish), leading to kapha accumulation and slower metabolism. Since there is minimal physical activity, the imbalance worsens, causing weight gain, fatigue, and sluggishness.
# Dietary Recommendations (Āhāra)
Adopt a light, Kapha-pacifying diet
Prefer warm, freshly cooked, and easy-to-digest foods.
Include millets (bajra, jowar, ragi), old rice, and barley.
Use spices like dry ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and turmeric to kindle Agni.
Avoid:
Cold, refrigerated, or heavy foods.
Excess wheat, dairy, fried, and sugary foods.
Hydration: Drink warm water or jeera-ajwain water throughout the day.
# Lifestyle Modifications (Vihāra)
Daily Physical Activity
Even 20–30 minutes of brisk walking, Surya Namaskar, or yoga helps improve metabolism.
Yoga Asanas (suitable for hypothyroidism & weight control):
Sarvangasana, Matsyasana, Bhujangasana, Setubandhasana.
Pranayama: Bhastrika, Kapalabhati, and Ujjayi improve thyroid function and burn fat.
# Ayurvedic Medicines (Under Supervision)
Start medicines only under the guidance of an Ayurveda physician after proper assessment.
# Simple Home Remedies
Jeera-Ajwain-Saunf water:
Boil 1 tsp each in 1 liter of water, sip warm throughout the day.
Lemon-Ginger-Honey water every morning on an empty stomach.
Dry Ginger (Sonth) tea: Stimulates Agni and helps burn fat.
Next Steps
Focus on a light, warm, and spiced diet.
Include daily yoga + pranayama.
Use Ayurvedic formulations under supervision.
Gradual weight loss is safer, especially with hypothyroidism.
Health Tips
Continue Thyrox 25 as prescribed by your allopathic doctor.
Check TSH levels every 3 months to avoid under- or over-medication.
Avoid extreme dieting; focus on balanced nutrition and gradual weight loss.
Aim for 0.5–1 kg per month, sustainable and healthy.
All the best!! 🙂👍
