I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 16 years(currently 21 years) and also diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the age of 19years.My current weight is 76kgs.I have gained unexpected weight of 16kgs in a year please help me out and I have tried gymming but it couldn't helped me much and doctor suggested not to do gymming please provide me a diet chart and weight loss tips

Diabetes not cure it can be prevented by diet so follow three main things like healthy diet, exercise and brisk walk morning and evening. Take high fiber food in ur diet, add more fruits and vegetables in ur diet, add plenty of water, avoid oily and fried food.

you need to do proper exercise, that doesn't mean you need to spend hour or 2 at the gym. exercise also should be as per your medical condition, etc. you can also do some yoga asanas to improve diabetes and hypothyroid.

Here are a few tips that will help you:- Eat small frequent meals every 2 -3 hours Eat protein rich foods (especially post workout, it will help in building muscle) like Cow’s Milk, Curd, Low fat paneer, Sprouts. Include healthy fat in your diet like nuts - almonds and walnuts, seeds like pumpkin, watermelon, sunflower seeds, etc. Eat fiber rich diet, it will help to gain early satiety and help you feel full - include fruits and vegetables in your diet. Eat proper breakfast, as 40% of day's energy comes from breakfast. Avoid junk food, oily food, processed or canned foods. Drink a glass of water every hour to keep yourself well hydrated. Exercise daily for an hour. Do resistance training and cardio on alternate days Note: The given prescription can change according to different conditions.

You should avoid sugar it’s products completely (jam ,jellies, sugar coated saunf),roots vegetables like potato,arbhi , sweet potato, zimikand, etc... avoid suji ,chawal , maida. In fruits you should avoid mango,banana,litchi, grapes, chiku etc.. In milk products use skimmed/ tonned milk, egg whites you can take . Drink 8-10 glass of water daily, 15-30 minutes is advisable
