Weakness, loss of concentration
I am feeling continuous weakness since last September. Unable to concentrate on things, even not feeling fresh despite long sleeping hours. I have been consulting a psychiatrist since then, and he put me on SSRIs initially. It worked well for 5 months, but symptoms reappeared just 10 days after leaving medicine. Dose was increased , but still nothing. Medicine was changed to Bupron . Still nothing. Lithium carbonate was added. Still nothing. Feeling dejected. I am thinking of seeing another doctor. Can someone guide me whether to consult another psychiatrist or neurologist ?

Hi As you mentioned medications worked for symtoms  earlier..but as soon as you stopped symtoms appeared . It relapse of symtoms... Usually after you get better nearly 100percent(Depression/Anxiety related issues) you need to continue for a atleast 6months to 1 year ...that too after follow up with doc have to stop medications. So if stopped ..after starting medications again People take time ( few weeks should be given for Medicines to start working) Some people might need higher doses or add on drugs after relapse... So it's important to prevent relapses... We need to give time for any medication to work than changing medications one after other
Next Steps
consult me ...After complete history we can make cal regarding medications or therapy or both accordingly
Health Tips
never stop medications as ur  feeling better... relapses can be difficult to treat as ur experiencing in ur case

You symptoms point more towards psychiatric problem, hardly any neurological issues noted as per ur history.  It's better consult a psychiatrist. Your symptoms are suggestive of stress and depression.  Antidepressants have been able to give you significant relief in the past, again points to the fact it's in deed psychiatric
Next Steps
pls have a in person or telephonic consult with a psychiatrist
