Hi, My mom had too much pain in her knee. After her checkup, one of the doctor told her that water is filled up in her knee. He has given Medicine but has not guided for the solution Want to know when and how it will get cure

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate the patient  in detail. Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder, if there is  any. Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. (You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold air. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Use no pillow under the head. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. -- .Do mild exercises for  knees --.(Take help of a  physiotherapist). --Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. --Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. It may be a case of arthritis, fluid in knee can happen in arthritis. Arthritis is common in old age. Or it could be something else, the patient needs to be examined to differentiate the cause. If it is due to arthritis then the fluid needs to be aspirated and some treatment has to be given for arthritis
Next Steps
Visit a pain clinic where the fluid can be taken out with a syringe.

KNEE aspiration under aseptic precaution. Also need to diagnose the cause of effusion.
