Was it typhoid or dengu
My friend got sick last week and when we consulted a doctor he said it's typhoid and started the medication but he got worse so we opted for 2nd counseling and the doctor said it was dengu and started the oral medication and instantly he started feeling better and recovered eventually. I'm really concerned regarding this issue so I want to know your opinion. I'm attaching the report of 1st counseling for your reference.

Widal test is positive but it is in such low titre that I will not like to label the patient as Typhoid. There is nothing in the report to suggest Dengue either. The patient might be having viral fever and has improved by non specific treatment. Since the patient has improved there is no point in confirming diagnosis. But I will not blame the first doctor for wrong treatment. No Doctor can be sure of cause of fever during the first visit of the patient. The second doctor has a slight advantage in this regard.
