Wart under foot
“My husband has a painful lesion on the sole of his left foot. The pain occurs only while walking or standing, not at rest. We first consulted a doctor in India on December 8 and again on December 12 and used antibiotic ointment and dressings, but there was no improvement. Later, an orthopaedic surgeon examined it and said it is a plantar wart. When he trimmed the skin, there was pinpoint bleeding. He referred us to a general surgeon, who advised surgery but mentioned a high chance of recurrence. At that time, we could not proceed due to travel. Now we consulted a doctor at the health centre in Qatar, and he advised us to see a dermatologist at Hamad Hospital for laser treatment. We would like your opinion and the best treatment to prevent recurrence.”

Hi, Yes it is plantar wart. Better to go for electrocautery .Chances of recurrences is less with it . Do not walk bare foot in public places . It will clear with the treatment ,no need to worry .

Hi there ... You appear to be in good hands with a Dermatologist. Recurrences are high with a surgical excision if indeed it is a wart..biopsy will confirm Laser therapy will also require some form of removal and recurrence is a pesky issue with 'warts' of any sort.
Next Steps
An INSTANT ONLINE Consultation with me may be good as can suggest a cream to try out first before going in for a surgical or laser intervention 🙏
Health Tips
Avoid Handling the area. Use soft insoles and pick up a Scholl's corn "protector" or Corn Felt pad ...has a central opening with a ring pad that helps take pressure off the corn/wart and decrease the pain and promote healing. ... NOT corn pads.

It needs surgical excision but as it is almost in the weight bearing part of the sole, healing is going to be delayed without proper instructions. Consult a surgeon nearby or consider online consultation.
