Vitamin d supplement during pregnancy
Hi i m five weeks pregnant n my vitamin d level is 27.5...three months back took 8 weeks therapy of 60iu weekly once (,during July n August)...after tat at mid of September when checked it was around 42 n NW reduced to 27.5 n it's in insufficiency state n i m also pregnant right NW...can anyone suggest vitamin d supplement n whether it is safe to take during pregnancy without causing any toxicity to me n foetus...dosage n duration too...

Hi. Yes . Vitamin D is safe in pregnancy if vitamin deficiency. You can take cap. Chalmozit 60k once week till delivery and monitor level of vitamin D . And continue after delivery also in maintaining dose .

It's safe mam. But avoid till 14 to 16 wks them start. Don't worry about value, it will get corrected with medicine.

Yes you can take vitamin d in pregnancy also. Same dose as you took before .once weekly
