Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. Vaginal itching without discharge or rash can happen due to: Mild fungal/yeast infection (most common). Irritation or dryness from soaps, scented washes, pads, or tight clothing. Allergic reaction to detergent or undergarments. Sometimes hormonal changes or minor skin conditions. General advice: Keep the area clean and dry, avoid tight or synthetic undergarments. Wash with plain water or mild unscented soap (no harsh products). Avoid scratching — it worsens irritation. Cold water wash (as you are doing) can give temporary relief. You may apply soothing external gels like aloe vera or calamine (not inside the vagina). When to consult a doctor: If itching continues beyond 5–7 days. If you notice discharge, foul smell, burning urination, or pain. If the itching worsens or disturbs sleep significantly. Most likely it is a mild fungal or irritant cause, which usually settles with these simple measures. If persistent, a short course of antifungal cream/tablets prescribed by a doctor may be required. 📲 You can connect with me directly on Practo or 85271646 seven seven (WhatsApp) for a more personalized consultation. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

It probably is due to dryness which can be a result of soaps. Try cleaning only with plain water and apply slight coconut oil .

Hey! Itching can be due to candidiasis, an infection caused due to fungus named Candida. You can take Tab. Fluconazole 150mg stat. One dose is usually sufficient if the condition is not recurring. Also, try to maintain hygiene by keeping the private area dry. Do not use products having strong fragrances as it may disturb the pH of the area leading to infections. Always dry the area using once a use towel/tissue and dispose.
