Yes urine infection can go up to ur kidney and can affect kidney function.
Kindly do RFT once the urine infection subsides
Warning symptoms: pain in back r abdomen , fever

Yes. It can lead to ascending infection of the kidneys.
You should get a sonography of KUB and also urine routine examination. Further investigations will depend on these two reports.

If u have recurrent urine infection
We need to evaluate why u have urine infection for months
Renal function test may need to be done to check renal function.
