Uric acid issue
I was diagnosed with high uric acid  issue in march..initially it was 7.5 in march month but now it has been reduced to 4.2.. i have been taking zyloric 100mg twice a day since march..should i stop this medication now?

U can stop the medications and also if needed consult the local Orthopedic or Rheumatologist.  . Avoid Alcohol and High Protein diet such as Non Vegetarian foods to keep Uric Acid in Check. . Repeat Serum Uric acid levels if u have similar complaints  again after consultation. Stay hydrated and exercise on regular basis.

Yes. Stop the medicines for now. But keep a healthy diet. Avoid high protein, alcohol and fast foods

Depends on what indication the medication was prescribed for. If you had typical gouty arthritis, or uric acid kidney stones or renal failure then you should consult the concerned specialist. If you had none of these problems, then there is no indication for taking zyloric

High uric acid causes gouty arthritis.  Its a form of body metabolism error. You will need long term monitoring and medication. Dietary restrictions are required
