Is she not able lift her palm/hand or the entire arm? If it is the entire arm, at her age there are a few possible diagnoses which are rotator cuff tear or shoulder arthritis. Assessment by an Orthopaedic Surgeon is advised. Rotator cuff tear is a lot more difficult to deal with at her age. An x-ray will also help in getting the correct diagnosis.
Next Steps
Assessment by an Orthopaedic Surgeon.
