Thank you for sharing your concern, and I completely understand how distressing this can be. It’s important to know that persistent underweight issues despite a normal appetite and no medical illness deserve a deeper look beyond the usual “wait and gain with age” approach. Since your weight stagnation started after the onset of periods, we need to evaluate both hormonal and metabolic factors. Here’s a practical step-by-step plan: Thyroid Profile – To rule out hyperthyroidism. Complete Blood Count & Iron Studies – To check for anemia. Vitamin D & B12 Levels – Deficiencies can cause fatigue and poor weight gain. Celiac Screen – Gluten sensitivity can lead to poor nutrient absorption despite eating well. Female Hormonal Profile – Especially if periods are irregular or symptoms of PCOS are present. Dietary Review – Many underweight individuals unknowingly consume less calories than needed for age and activity. You should ideally consult an endocrinologist for a full metabolic-hormonal review and a clinical dietitian who can customize a high-calorie, nutritious plan. You're not alone—and this is absolutely something that can be addressed with the right guidance. You're taking the first and most important step by seeking help. For healthy weight gain, focus on consuming a calorie-surplus diet that includes nutrient-dense foods like lean proteins (chicken, fish, beans, and lentils), complex carbohydrates (brown rice, quinoa, whole-wheat bread, and sweet potatoes), healthy fats (avocado, nuts, and olive oil), and calorie-rich foods like dried fruits, granola, and trail mix, while also incorporating smoothies and shakes with protein powder, peanut butter, and banana, and eating frequently throughout the day to support muscle growth and overall health.

Hello,  I understand how concerning it must be for you to struggle with weight gain despite your efforts. Persistent underweight can be influenced by various factors, including hormonal changes after puberty, metabolic rate, nutritional deficiencies, digestive health, or underlying medical conditions such as thyroid disorders or malabsorption issues.  While supplements and appetite boosters may help to some extent, a comprehensive evaluation is necessary to identify the root cause. This includes reviewing your dietary habits, metabolic markers, and any potential physiological or psychological factors affecting your weight.  I strongly recommend scheduling a consultation with me so we can conduct a detailed assessment and create a personalized plan tailored to your needs. Proper guidance and monitoring can make a significant difference in achieving healthy weight gain and improving your overall well-being.  For further assistance or to book an appointment, you can reach me on WhatsApp at **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two**.
