Umbilical Hernia
Please suggest is it possible to stay another 6 months without surgery?? Or any other option like Abdominal Belt etc. She isn't facing any problems..

This is an infraumbilical hernia. (Similar entity as umbilical hernia). You definitely need surgical correction with mesh placement, can be done by open or laparoscopic approach. To delay the surgery is not generally advisable as these kind of hernias are more prone to get complicated. And the time to reach complication cannot be predicted. So as per my advice get operated soon.

Obviously, you have umbilical hernia. At present maybe asymptomatic, but abdominal contents may come out of the gap, and will get obstructed. So, surgical repair is indicated.

Since  it's an asymptomatic  umbilical  hernia,you can wait but at any time  if you have  severe  pain  vomiting  immediately  consult your  surgeon

Size of defect is small and gut is comming out as content, it can get complicated any day nobody can predict and at that time situation ll be worse, so don't wait much Get it operated as soon as conditions become favourable

Do not use abdominal belt . Either wait or go for surgery but never use belt. I have seen patients with hernia getting complicated with use of belt. Go for surgery as soon as the condition is favourable.

Yes you can wait. To consult only in case of severe pain, redness or vomiting. Belt is hazardous and not to be used.
