Ultrasound report: Umbilical hernia noted with herniation of Omentum. Herniated contents are irreducible and thickening of herniated omentum. Strangulation of Omentum. Question: The umbilical hernia contains only omentum so do it require surgery or we can avoid the surgery?

as it is mentioned it's strangulated hernia  with ometum need to get operated.. Laproscopic repair is better .. depends on the defect and your general condition.. please contact general surgeon or connect in call for further details

Since it is clearly mentioned in the Ultrasonography report that the contents of the hernia are irreducible and getting strangulated (decreased blood supply) the condition of the patient may get complicated in case surgical intervention is not immediately done.
