Ulcer,White Fungi like
My father has an ulcerous formation in his mouth below the tongue and has white fungus like formation in that area. He doesnt smoke or chew gutkha etc. What should be the next course of action? Physician says it is something that can be treated with medicines. Is surgery necessary?

Hi as per ur info it appears to be pathologic... It may or may not be associated with Tobacco of any form..it can be immunologic, hormonal, dermatological, developmental etc. A through clinical examination will ascertain as it is difficult to say it on papers... Plz visit an oral physician, oral and maxillofacial surgeon or an oral pathologist who will thoroughly evaluate it and then prescribe correct treatment(medical or surgical) depending on the circumstances. Thank you
