It's unlikely that the TSH level is slightly raised from the normal, within a span of 4 months. It could be due to lab error, sample collection -test mismatch,or subclinical hypothyroidism itself, which doesn't warrant any treatment for 4.94 TSH level.Ideally you should visit a standard accredited lab and repeat the TSH , free T4. to compare.

Firstly even a reading of TSH  4.94  mIU is normal in a non pregnant stage . The level of 2.5 is recommended to be maintained during pregnancy . Secondly a 'high' level of 4.94 only signifies that it is subclinical hypothyroidism (no symptoms but only need for supplementation so that itsamples  doesn't become overt). Thirdly there can be Lab variations and also variations depending on the time at which blood samples are taken.
