Triple marker test
Hi doctor,
My sister age is 32 and this is her second pregnancy ..In 15weeks triple marker test is done .In report AFP is 26.80..what does it indicate...kindly advice ..is neural defects..?.

AFP level of 26.8 is a cause for concern. She may need NIPT .
Before that she will get her TIFFA done after about 3 weeks. If it gives any doubtful report then NIPT will have to be done.
