Triple Marker Positive with 1:182 ratio
Hello Doctors, I am a 33yr old female. This is my second pregnancy. My NT scan was normal but triple marker test was positive with 1:182 ratio positive screening for Trisomy 21. The matter of concern for me is that the value of unconjugated estriol (uE3) is extremely low which is 0.13 ng/mL at 14 weeks 6days pregnancy also my Triple Marker was done twice by the lab to rule out any discrepancy. How reliable is Triple Marker also can it show false results as it was done at 14 weeks while it's suggested to get it done after 16 weeks. Also mentioning the MoM values for your reference AFP 0.79 Ue3 0.51 HCG 1.46 Kindly suggest does these MoM are too low/high or the pregnancy could be healthy with these values.

Hello  ! Triple  marker test  can be false  positive also & not that reliable. Quadruple marker test  can be done  at 16 weeks  Gestational age . But Rather then  going for  marker  test, you should  go for NIPT test ... In case  of slightest  doubt I will  suggest  NIPT which  is simple &  Reliable . In case  if NIPT also ... comes Abnormal then AMNIOCENTESIS  is to be done  for definitive  diagnosis.
Next Steps
NIPT  to be done.
