Hello Doctor's
I had done Lasik surgery for vision correction 10 years back in 2016. I have been facing dry eyes since then.
I wanted to ask that can I do triphala eye wash daily.
Is there any problem since I had Lasik 10 years ago.
Is doing triphala eye wash safe for my eyes.
Thank you

Although there are mixed suggestions, I feel it's not recommended to do Triphala eye wash as it contain citric acid of amla ( c vitamin)/ astringent nature which aggravate dryness .
You can try 2 to three drops of Anu tailam or thriphala gritham in each nostril.
Netra vasthi under doctor supervisor
Trifla quath netra dhavan is one of the best indications for eye related diseases in uttar tantra sushrut samhita , but if you under-vent any ophthalmic surgery then you should follow advice as your surgeon
Next Steps
Don’t mix and use any thing before consulting any physician
Triphala gritha is best
Don't do prakshala take triphala ghritha 1/2 spoon heat by double boiler method after cooling pour 2 drops both eyes before sleeping
Sole massage with any oil also clear ur problem
After LASIK, dryness of eyes is a common long-term complaint. Triphala eye wash is a traditional practice, but in post-LASIK eyes, the corneal surface is more sensitive. Using raw/home-prepared washes can sometimes cause irritation or infection.
ð My advice:
Avoid self-prepared eye washes.
Use only sterile, doctor-prescribed lubricating drops regularly.
Triphala can be taken internally (in prescribed form) for general eye health, but external washes should be done only under supervision.
