Better not to do eye wash.
Also the proper eye wash is :
Put 1tsp of fine powder triphala into boiling water. Switch off the flame and cover it for 5 minutes, then strain 2-3 times through cotton.
This can be done in a normal eye.
For an eye after surgery:
Make a paste of triphala mixed with warm water or honey. Smear it on a linen cloth. Keep it over the closed for for 15minutes.
