Hello Dr,
My brother 18 yrs old has total cholesterol as 172 but there is variation in other sub tests like triglycerides 194, hdl cholesterol 34,ldl cholesterol 109, tc/ hdl cholesterol ratio 5.1, trig/hdl ratio 5.79, hdl/ldl ratio 0.31

If this is for the first time, no need to start medication
First follow proper diet for. 1month , with less oily, less spicy food, less salt diet
And after 1 month, repeat this on fasting, after that , can get the idea for medication
